Your night stays on your phone

Joy is a party game app for iPhone and Android made by Factory Labs (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what Joy keeps, where it keeps it, and what it never does. It's short, because Joy collects nothing.

In short

Joy has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers. Nothing you type or play ever reaches us.
Joy doesn't connect to the internet. Your players, settings and card history stay on your phone.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking SDKs. Nothing is sold or shared, because nothing is collected.
Deleting the app deletes everything it kept.

What Joy keeps on your phone

To work, Joy saves a few things in its own private storage on your device:

Your players: the names you type, the colour each one wears, their order, and who's playing tonight.
Your settings: language, theme, vibration, whether you've seen the welcome page, and the last length and intensity you picked for each game.
Card history: which cards each deck has dealt, so the next night starts with ones you haven't seen.

None of this is sent anywhere. We can't see it, and nobody else can either, unless they're holding your phone.

What Joy never does

It never asks you to create an account or sign in.
It never connects to the internet. The Android app doesn't even ask for internet access, and the iPhone app makes no network requests.
It uses no advertising, analytics, crash reporting or any other third-party SDK.
It doesn't access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or location.

Motion and vibration

The cards lean and catch the light as you tilt your phone. To do that, Joy reads the phone's motion sensor while cards are on screen. The readings are used on the spot to draw the card, and are never stored or sent. Vibration only plays feedback on the phone, and you can switch it off in Settings.

Language on first launch

The first time Joy opens, it picks English or Georgian by looking at the phone's language and region (and, on Android, the SIM's country) on the device itself. Nothing is sent, and you can change the language at any time in Settings.

Backups

If you back up your phone to iCloud, Google or a computer, the system's backup may include Joy's data along with your other apps, under Apple's or Google's own terms. Restoring a backup brings your players back.

Deleting your data

Swipe left on a player to delete them, or clear the whole list in Players. To remove everything Joy has kept, delete the app.

Children

Joy is made for groups of friends, and doesn't collect information from anyone, children included.

The App Store and Google Play

You download Joy from Apple's App Store or from Google Play. They may collect information about downloads and purchases under their own privacy policies, which we don't control.

This website

factorylabs.app/joy is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages, with no cookies, analytics or trackers. It remembers your language in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your browser. GitHub may log visitors' IP addresses for security, and the page's fonts come from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when it serves them.

Changes

If Joy ever starts to collect anything, we'll update this policy before that version is released and change the date at the top.

რას ინახავს Joy თქვენს ტელეფონში

რას არასდროს აკეთებს Joy

არასდროს გთხოვთ ანგარიშის შექმნას ან შესვლას.
არასდროს უკავშირდება ინტერნეტს. Android‑ის აპი ინტერნეტზე წვდომასაც კი არ ითხოვს, iPhone‑ის აპი კი ქსელში არცერთ მოთხოვნას არ აგზავნის.
არ იყენებს რეკლამას, ანალიტიკას, შეცდომების აღრიცხვას ან მესამე მხარის სხვა SDK‑ს.
არ იყენებს თქვენს კონტაქტებს, ფოტოებს, კამერას, მიკროფონს ან მდებარეობას.

მოძრაობა და ვიბრაცია

ტელეფონის დახრისას ბარათები იხრება და შუქს იჭერს. ამისთვის, სანამ ბარათები ეკრანზეა, Joy ტელეფონის მოძრაობის სენსორს კითხულობს. ეს მონაცემები მხოლოდ იმავე წამს, ბარათის დასახატად გამოიყენება და არც ინახება, არც იგზავნება. ვიბრაცია მხოლოდ ტელეფონში იგრძნობა და მისი გამორთვა პარამეტრებში შეგიძლიათ.

მონაცემების წაშლა

მოთამაშის წასაშლელად გადაწიეთ ის მარცხნივ, ან მოთამაშეების გვერდზე მთელი სია გაასუფთავეთ. ყველაფრის წასაშლელად, რაც Joy‑მ შეინახა, აპი წაშალეთ.

ბავშვები

Joy მეგობრების კომპანიისთვის შეიქმნა და არავისგან არ აგროვებს ინფორმაციას, ბავშვების ჩათვლით.

App Store და Google Play

Joy‑ს Apple‑ის App Store‑იდან ან Google Play‑დან ჩამოტვირთავთ. მათ შეუძლიათ ჩამოტვირთვებისა და შესყიდვების შესახებ ინფორმაცია საკუთარი კონფიდენციალურობის პოლიტიკით შეაგროვონ, რასაც ჩვენ ვერ ვაკონტროლებთ.

თუ Joy ოდესმე რამის შეგროვებას დაიწყებს, ამ პოლიტიკას იმ ვერსიის გამოსვლამდე განვაახლებთ და ზემოთ მითითებულ თარიღსაც შევცვლით.
