Chronos Privacy Policy

Chronos is a history app made by Factory Labs ("we"). This policy explains what information the app collects, why, and what control you have over it.
In short: Chronos has no accounts, shows no ads and does not track you. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage and crash information to understand how the app is used and to fix problems. We never sell it.
Information that stays on your device
Your reading progress, saved stories and facts, XP, streak, badges, and your language, appearance and app icon choices are stored only on your phone. We cannot see them. Resetting your progress from the Profile screen, or deleting the app, removes them.
Information we collect
Chronos uses Google Firebase to collect the following. None of it includes your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location, and none of it is linked to your identity.

Chronos does not collect anything you type, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who processes the information
This information is processed by Google through the following Firebase services, under Google's terms and privacy policies:
- Google Analytics for Firebase
- Firebase Crashlytics
- Firebase Remote Config
You can read more at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Google may process data on servers outside your country. We do not share the information with anyone else and never sell it.
How long it is kept
Usage and crash information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above and is deleted automatically under the retention settings of the Firebase services.
Your choices and rights
Because the information we collect is anonymous, we usually cannot link it to you. You can stop all collection at any time by deleting the app. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to or deletion of your data, or to object to its processing. Contact us and we will help as far as we can.
Children
Chronos is suitable for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the information it does collect is anonymous.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
